Purchasing the products of slave labour is wrong, and, not any different than supporting organised crime which sells the proceeds of crime. Slave labour is the 3rd most hanous crime on planet earth, with illegal guns and drug sales as number 1 & 2. Are North Americans willing to abandon human rights just to save a few dollars on T-Shirts? I hope not!

I've spent years of my life researching and writing about this topic. I visited with workers in Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, and Honduras. I learned that not all countries, brands, and factories are created equal. For instance, I choose Made in Cambodia over Made in China.

You said it best when you wrote, "it is often difficult to know the truth." That it is. We definitely need to ask more from the companies that cloth us. We need to be educated about where they source from and how they monitor their factories. The difficult part is that they don't want us asking any questions.

My shirt came from yo momma's bedroom floor... oh snap.Ya I'm lame I like this one. It's ironic how many, many, many, many ethical-statement t-shirts are sweat made and eco-horrendous.It was interesting buying clothes in Japan. Chinese factories are only a few hours away by boat. Order your custom t-shirt and it comes the next day. Curious, ain't it.
